It's been a little while since my previous post. In light of the recent financial woes, one would think we are living in an ominous time. Yes, we are struggling but we will eventually see our way through this time. However, today I would like to bring to light, the wonderful world we live in.
Recently, my sister relayed a really heart-warming story. While on her way home from work, a vehicle in front of my sister erratically pulled over to the side of a busy road. At first my sister was caught off guard, but then she saw the reason for this drivers erratic behavior. Lying on the side of the road was an elderly gentleman who had slipped and fallen. My sisters first instinct was to pull over and assist as well. But then, she saw 4 other bystanders who came to this mans aide. Stories like this make me realize that we live in a world full of more kindness than evil.
Unfortunately, we now live with the threat of terrorism to our homeland. Remember, there are more people in this world with kind hearts willing to help their neighbor, than those that want to destroy us!
